As a result of studying of the discipline the student should:

know:
- anatomo-topographic interrelations of internal organs and their projection on the surface of human body; layer by layer topography of regions of human body; features of blood supply, regional lymphatic outflow, innervation of anatomical structures which are located in this regions;
- most common surgical operations on the head, neck, at hernias of abdominal wall, on organs of the chest and abdominal cavities, retroperitoneal space and small pelvis, upper and lower extremities;
 
be able:
- to use knowledge of topographic anatomy and skeletotopy of organs for diagnostics and treatment;
- to use basic principles of work with surgical instruments;
- to apply rules of disconnection and connection of tissues with the help of corresponding surgical instruments and knowledge of layer by layer topography of regions of human body;
 
obtain:
- skills of disconnection and connection of tissues with the help of corresponding surgical instruments;
- skills of emergency medical help at some urgent conditions (bleeding, asphyxia etc.);
- principles of rational choice of surgical procedure for treatment of diseases.
