Graduates-2026. Sofia Savruk: Active participant of University events since the first year of studies

My name is Sofia Savruk.

I am from Ukraine and chose this University because many renowned specialists, who now work not only in my country but all over the world, studied and graduated from here. Furthermore, Belarusian culture is very close to my heart, so I feel at home here.

I chose to become a doctor because I've always wanted to help people and bring benefit to everyone in need.

I recall my first year with particular warmth: the first anatomy classes, the vast amount of new information, the anxiety before the first exam. Everything seemed very difficult back then, but over time, my knowledge grew, and the difficulties turned into valuable experience, which I now recall only with a smile.

One of the most important stages of my education was the transfer from the Russian-language group to the English-language group in my fourth year. This was a big step for me, a new experience and a challenge that helped me gain confidence, improve my professional English, and discover even more opportunities in learning and communication.

The University gave me not only medical knowledge, but also many opportunities for development. Various events, volunteering, concerts for children, conferences, and meeting students from different countries helped me become more open, confident, and well-rounded. With the support of my professors and mentors, I also wrote several scientific articles that were published in scientific journals.

I am very grateful to our Dean, Aleksander Aleksandrovich Stenko, Vice deans, and the entire Dean's office for their support and assistance in any difficulties. When you're in a different country, it's especially important to know that there are always people you can turn to.

Belarus has become a country where I felt calm and safe. Here, international students can feel supported, make new friends, and gain not only education, but also many lasting memories.

In the future, I want to become a good doctor, one that my family is proud of, and one that people can turn to for help and support.
