Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation Pakir Mohidin Amza visited GrSMU

In the framework of the visit the Ambassador has got acquainted with the university’s activities and life. Pakir Mohidin Amza and the administration of the university have discussed the issues of further cooperation.

During the visit, the Sri Lankan delegation was introduced to the history of Belarus, Grodno and outstanding personalities of our city. L. N. Gushchyna, Deputy Dean of the Faculty for International Students, presented the history and the achievements of the university. Special attention was paid to the scientific and student life, in which the Faculty’s students always took an active part.

Ambassador Pakir Mohidin Amza emphasized that Grodno State Medical University is known as a prestigious university far beyond the borders of Belarus, because it provides high-quality education.

According to Vitaly Vorobyev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Extra-budgetary Activities, the management and staff of the university make every effort to ensure that students receive quality education and can realize themselves in one of the most difficult, yet the most humane profession – a physician.

At the end of the visit the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation Mr. Pakir Mohidin Amza talked to the students and answered their questions.
