International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking - “For a World without Illusions and Addictions!”

26.02.2025  senior teachers Matskevich M.A. and Sevchik-Giris E.M. organized an educational event within the framework of the week of prevention of drug abuse, drug use and trafficking under the motto “For a world without illusions and addictions!”, dedicated to the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in groups 6 and 11 of the Faculty for Foreign Students.

Objective: to create conditions for medical students to prioritize a healthy lifestyle and negative attitude to drugs and other psychotropic substances.

Tasks:

• to consider the concepts of “drug addiction”, “narcotic substances”; 
• to realize the danger of narcotic substances;
• to develop a strategy of safe behavior;
• to develop the ability to analyze and generalize the acquired knowledge;
• to form motivation for intolerant attitude towards narcotic substances;

This event was held in the atmosphere of mutual respect for the positions of other people, students had the opportunity to express their attitude to the problem of drug addiction, shared personal stories.

All the tasks and objective of the event were achieved.
