There are 2 main disciplines at the Department: «Radiology and Radiation therapy» and «Radiatiological and environmental medicine».

The main directions of the research work of the Department are:

- studying modern methods of radiology in tumors and non-neoplastic diseases;

- evaluation of the efficiency of combined radiation treatment with using high-dose brachytherapy for prostate cancer;

- studying the effectiveness of ultrasound diagnosis of inguinal hernias;

- ultrasound diagnosis of pregnancy and neonatal pathology
