History

The Department of Physics was not founded until Grodno State Medical Institute was established in August, 1958. In 1965 it was renamed to the Department of Medical and Biological Physics.

Since June 2025, the department has been headed by a graduate of the medical faculty of the Grodno State Medical Institute, Doctor of Medical Sciences Mikhail Nikolaevich Khodosovsky.

Currently, the department staff consists of 16 people: 5 have the title of associate professor, 6 senior teachers, 1 teacher, 1 teacher trainee, 1 engineer, 2 laboratory assistants. There are four physics workshops and four computer classes in the department.
