STUDENTS MINI-CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE MODERN IMUNOLOGICAL DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND IMMUNITY AND AGE

students mini-conference dedicated to the MODERN IMUNOLOGICAL DIAGNOSTIC TESTS AND IMMUNITY AND AGE

The student’s mini-conference took place on the 29^th of May 2024 at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology named after S.I. Gelberg. The second year international students of the 2^nd group and part of the students of the group 11 took an active part in the event. The conference aim was to increase students’ knowledge of modern approaches to development and application of immunological tests used for diagnostics nowadays, as well as understanding specific health problems and pathologies of immune system in old people.

Three students of the group 2 made the next presentations:

1. Ifechukwu Onyejepu  (Nigeria) “PECULIARITIES OF IMMUNITY IN ELDERLY PEOPLE”

2. Adoga Divine Ene Chigozirim (Nigeria) “ENZYME LINKED IMMUNOSORBENT ASSAY (ELISA)”

3. Piter Shamaki (Nigeria) “Radioimmunoassay (RIA): Principle, Procedure, Results and Uses”.

The students of the group actively participated in the panel discussions on the topics of presented talks that made the mini-conference more life, interesting and efficient.
