The following forms of work are used in the work of the SSS: thematic meetings every month for the study of cardiology, rheumatology, pulmonology, gastroenterology. Students of SSS and the teaching staff of the department make presentations. Patients with difficult to diagnose and treat diseases are demonstrated at meetings of SSS.

The scientific work of students consists in independent clinical, laboratory and instrumental research are supervised by the teachers of the department (patent information search on the topic of work, interpretation of the results and writing articles and abstracts).

Every year, SSS students make presentations at students' conferences. In 2021/2022, the results of research by SSS students were reported and published at conferences and congresses of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and abroad.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH:

1. Cardiology (ECG, LPG, ABPM, HRV, QT dispersion, determination of taste sensitivity to salt, orthostatic test, cardiovascular tests, LPO/AOS assessment, blood oxygen transport function)

2. Metabolic syndrome and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (polysomnographic study, cardiorespiratory monitoring).

3. Gastroenterology (GDS, impedance-pH-metry, etc.).
