SSS

А student scientific society has been working at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology since its founding. Students perform scientific research on topical issues in obstetrics and gynecology. Meetings of the student scientific society are held regularly, and they are thematic in nature. In the social network "Vkontakte" at the link https://vk.com/sno_ginecologia_grgmu, students have access to up-to-date information, all presentations on the reports presented at the SSS meetings, an interactive vote is held to determine the best report on each topic of the meetings. The mentor of the SSS at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology - Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Savonevich Elena Leontievna. The head of the SSS is Alesya Protsenko, a 6th year student of the Faculty of Medicine.

Every year student scientific papers from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology participate in university and international conferences, in the Republican competition of student papers. Scientific articles and abstracts with research results are published. According to the results of the Republican competition of student scientific works-2021, two scientific works from the SSS of the Department were awarded categories. Diploma of the 1st category was awarded for the work of Yulia Serebrennikova and Viktoia Zdrok "Hereditary predisposition of cancer due to mutations in the BRCA1 gene: proactive approach" (supervisor – Ass. Prof. Savonevich E.L.). Diploma of the III category was given to the work of Victoria Danilyuk "Structure and incidence of female infertility" (supervisor – Ass. Prof. Milosh T.S.).

Every year, an University Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology is held for SSS participants. In 2019, a team of students of the SSS of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology took part and won the second place in the Republican Olympiad in the academic discipline "Obstetrics and Gynecology", which was held at the Gomel State Medical University. In 2022, students of our SSS participated in the VI-th All-Russian Student Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology named after A.I. L.S. Persianinov with international participation. The team of our university took 3rd place in the competition of clinical situations in gynecology.
