The Bioethics Сonference was held at the Department of Public Health and Health Services

On 29 December 2023, the Bioethics Сonference was held at the Department of Public Health and Health Services for students of the Medical Faculty of International Students and students of the Faculty of General Medicine.

The conference is organised by the department every year.  The conference reveals talented students with scientific ability, improves the level of their theoretical knowledge, involves young people in scientific work, realises ideological, moral and ethic, multicultural education, helps first-year students to adapt to studying at the university and involves students in student science, forms a humane worldview of students.

Besides the participants of the conference and teachers - members of the organising committee, students of different courses of the Medical Faculty of International Students and the Faculty of General Medicine were invited as listeners. The audience took part in the discussion: questions to the speakers were asked both in Russian and in English.

Traditionally, the conference was attended by students of the Faculty of General Medicine (11 speakers) and the Medical Faculty of International Students from different countries (10 speakers, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, India, Maldives, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana), who were pre-selected at the seminars. The conference was held in two languages.

The Organising Committee evaluated:

• content of the report,
• quality of presentation,
• style of presentation of the report,
• ability to comply with the time limit (10 minutes per report),
• answers to questions from the audience.

This good tradition is lasting since 2021.
