GrSMU students are award-winners in III International competition of illustrated essays I want to talk about it…
From January 1st to March 3rd Belarus State Economic University held III International competition of illustrated essays “I want to talk about it…” where international students, master’s degree students, post-graduate students studying in Russian took part.
Representatives of 22 countries participated in the competition: Azerbaijan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lebanon, Maldives, Morocco, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nigeria, New Zealand, Syria, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka.
The essays were of different topics: nature, ecology, travelling, mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue, tolerance, art, profession, medicine, happiness, family, hobbies, etc.
The jury evaluated works of 89 students from 12 universities of Belarus and from near and far abroad countries:
Grodno State Medical University took 3rd place in team championship!
Individual championship:
2nd place – 2nd year student, group 11a – Kasthuriarachchi Vethara Malkini. Supervisor – senior lecturer at the Department of Russian and Belarusian languages Sentyabova A.V.
3rd place – 3rd year students of groups 12a & 3a – Mohamed Zulfikar Fathima Shahla and Eno Umo-Victory Imaikop. Supervisor – senior lecturer at the Department of Russian and Belarusian languages Baranovskaya A.V.
Moreover, our students won diplomas in the following nominations:
1. “Current and significant topic”:

2. “Expressive artistic performance”:
- Bwalya Manuella Kishala (3rd year 3А group).
3. “Logic in revealing the topic”:
- Mohammed Rameez Mohammed Sharik (3rd year 4А group);
- Fernando W Weerakonda Arachchige Nisadu Nethma (2nd year 8А group).
4. “Precision in thoughts expression “:
- Hanaan Mohamed Nizar (3rd year 11А group).
5. “Philosophical approach to the topic”:

- Thanaweera Achchige Janu Methnodh (2nd year 11А group);

6. “Artistic taste”:
- Mochawrab Mohamad (3rd year group 27Р).
7. “Emotional expressiveness of the work”:
- Kokelea Sophie-Chloe Kante (3rd year 3А group).
