  The main activities of the department

The Department currently provides teaching of the following academic disciplines for 4th, 5th- and 6th-year students of General Medicine, Medical Faculty for International Students, Faculty of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medical Diagnostics and Faculty of Mental Health Medicine : "Traumatology and orthopedics", "War surgery". The department trains physicians in clinical residency in the specialties of “traumatology and orthopedics”. The scientific interests of the department are surgical treatment of hip joint pathology, rotational deformities of a lower extremities, pediatric foot deformities, arthroscopic suture of meniscal tears, treatment of the bone cysts.
 
Employees of the department as well as curators, are engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the three departments of traumatology and orthopedics of the Grodno City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Care, the pediatric orthopedics department of Grodno Regional Children's Clinical Hospital.

Three of our employees are consultants at the Professorial Advisory Center. Every year, the department is in the top 10 of the best patient admissions results.

One employee is the Chief Freelance Specialist of the Main Health Department of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee. Our employees constantly provide highly qualified assistance to adults and children of the Grodno region.

Employees of the department of traumatology, orthopedics and war surgery are developing and introducing new techniques into surgical practice that provide orthopedic and trauma care at the highest level.
