Day of Knowledge Ceremony

On September 2, 2024, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the academic year was held at the Grodno State Medical University. International students of the faculty also took part in the solemn event.

Traditionally, the event began with the ceremonial raising of the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus and the banner of the university. The honorable right to raise the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus and the banner of the Grodno State Medical University was granted to the best students of the university.

Rector of the University Zhuk Igor Georgievich addressed the first-year students with warm words of greeting. He wished the students perseverance in their studies, a firm position in life, love for the Motherland and the desire to work for its benefit. From the hands of Rector Zhuk Igor Georgievich, the first-year students received a symbolic "Key of Knowledge" – which personifies determination and perseverance in learning. On this festive day, first-year students met deans, vice deans for ideological and educational work, faculty and student activists from community associations.
