30 november 2024 — 12:34

The STV talk show project “Yes! But...” is devoted to topical issues of social and political life in the youth environment.

Students of the Grodno State Medical University took part in the project and shared their impressions after a trip to Minsk.

The trip was very interesting. On the way to Minsk and back, I and my friends had a lot of fun talking, remembering the guys we met and talked to on TV. They welcomed us well, explained what we would do, where to stay during the recording of the program, how to behave. To be honest, I was a little disoriented when I spoke into the microphone. But in the end the impressions were good and unforgettable, – says Jeyhun Ishangulyyev, a 2nd year student (Turkmenistan).

It was a very exciting experience for me. It was such a beautiful studio, and the topic was so interesting! On the talk show we discussed how accessible education is in Belarus and how high quality it is. After all, Belarus is such a beautiful country with a wonderful culture! I am happy that I had such experience and such a chance to participate in the program on the national television, – says Aishath Atheefa Ali, a 6th year student (Maldives).

- The experience I had at this event was unique in its kind. I was able to see Belarus through the eyes of students of different nationalities and cultures and got to know their experiences in the Republic of Belarus. I gained insight into the education system and learned about the nuances and differences between the system of my country and the Belarusian one. We are very grateful to the organizers for giving us this opportunity to have this wonderful experience, – says Ashroff Rumi Mohamed Affri, a 6th year student (Sri Lanka).

- Our trip to Minsk for the project was an amazing experience, I was able to meet and socialize with my other faculty colleagues. On the way to Minsk we discussed many topics including our traditions, cultures and backgrounds. On the set of the TV show, we met other students from different universities. We talked about the life and studies of international students, how we managed to adjust to life in Belarus, and why we chose Belarus to study. Overall, I enjoyed this experience and I hope that I will have the opportunity to make similar trips in the future.

Many thanks to the Rector of our university, the Dean and the Vice Dean of the Faculty for Inernational Students for the great opportunity to participate in the youth project, I really appreciate it, - says Ezera Ukachukwu Mba, a 5th year student (Nigeria).
