XII Student Festival of National Cultures “Youth of the world for solidarity, cooperation and peace on Earth” ended in GrSMU
From April 22 to April 25 XII Student Festival of National Cultures “Youth of the world for solidarity, cooperation and peace on Earth” was taking place at GrSMU.
This spectacular festival had series of events:
Online-meeting with graduates is held four years in a row. This meeting is an opportunity to share success stories, achievements, experience. Graduates reminisced not only about the educational process but extra-curricular events as well. Graduates shared their warmest reviews about Alma mater, lecturers and the city.
To maintain connections among graduates and the Faculty, Association of graduates of the Medical Faculty for International Students has been created.
Within the festival, sports games, quiz and a meeting with law-enforcement bodied were held.
Another event was an exhibition of national cultures. Exhibits were presented from Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Maldives, India, Turkmenistan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Russia. International students presented arts and crafts and national cuisine. Bright dance performances and tastings added color to the opening of the exhibition.
For the first time, the competition “Best Student of the Faculty of International Students” was held at the Student Festival of National Cultures. Contestants had to go through several stages: introduction, public speaking, intellectual and creative competitions. English, Senegalese, and Russian were spoken on stage. And students from Nigeria prepared the song “Olesya” – a masterpiece of the ensemble “Pesnyary”. At the end of the competition program, the winner was awarded a diploma – Manisha Morayas Karundika – the first in the history of our university to become the best international student. Congratulations!
The Festival of National Cultures is a bright page in the life of the university that will remain in the memory of students and lecturers for many, many years. See you next year!
