The Faculty of Mental Health Medicine provides the qualification "Doctor". Training in the specialty "Mental Health Medicine " is carried out in full-time (daytime) education, the term of education is 6 years. Graduates are awarded the qualification of "doctor", after completing the internship: psychiatrist-narcologist, psychotherapist, child psychiatrist; after an internship - state forensic psychiatrist.
Every year, the educational process in the specialty "Mental Health Medicine" is provided by the curriculum of GrSMU, curricula for academic disciplines and internship programs approved by the rector of the university. On the basis of GrSMU, the scientific and methodological council for medical and psychological work of the educational and methodological association for higher medical and pharmaceutical education functions. The chairman of the scientific and methodological council is Boyko S.L., dean of The Faculty of Mental Health Medicine.
Training at the Faculty of Mental Health Medicine is practice-oriented, the educational process is carried out at 45 departments of GrSMU. Organizational forms of classes (lectures, seminars, practical and laboratory classes) and methods of their implementation meet the requirements for the organization of the educational process in an institution of higher education.
The Faculty of Mental Health Medicine has implemented network interaction within the framework of international cooperation with partner universities. Agreements on international cooperation have been signed.
